Two Timer
hi i have a sprinkler system and i just put in two valves when i turn the timer on the valves stay open whats?
the problem
you probably wired it wrong. or you installed the valves backwards.
wiring. you should have one common that connects to both the valves ( ussually the white wire). and one lead for each zone.
each valve will have two wires coming out of the solenoid.
one from each valve connects to the common.
then the other wires on each valve go to there own individual lead wire for there zone.
check that at the timer you have the common wire used in the common slot. and the correct leads in their spots.
if you put inthe valves backwards they will stay open all the time even when the timer is off.
if so. than you need to replumb them.
they will have an arrow on the body indicating which way the flow is going.
ussually the flow goes the way the solenoid is facing.
hope this helps. sounds to me like its just the wiring.
