Question about my fender strat guitar

I use .10 guage strings... ernie balls... but every time i use the trem arm (better known to some as the Whammy Bar) the guitar goes out of tune...

is the problem the set up of my bridge, or what...

Hi! The four areas contributing to the strings staying in tune on a typical Stratocaster are the bridge, the nut, the string trees, and the tuners. On a stock model, the bone nut is a primary factor in keeping the strings from returning to the correct position after a tremolo maneuver. I would start by placing a drop of silicone lubricant in each slot to see if that helps. While you are at it, add a drop to each of the bridge pivot points, which will keep it operating smoothly and minimize wear. When you change strings, allow at least three full wraps around the tuning peg and make sure to pull each string upwards at the 12th fret to help set the string prior to final tuning. Always tune upwards to final pitch, which will better lock the machine tuner in position. If you overshoot and go sharp, return to flat and raise pitch until dead-on.
