One Kind Guitar

What kind of guitar did Syd Barrett use?

I'm planning on upgrading from my cheap guitar to one of better quality and I wanted to know what guitar Syd Barrett used. I usually play his songs from Piper at the Gates and his two solo albums. Anyone know what kind of guitar he used for these albums?

Syd Barrett was well known for playing a Fender Telecaster (later he famously covered it with mirrors), which gave early Pink Floyd their raw, twangy sound.

He also played different Danelectros throughout his career, as it had similar sonic qualities to the Telecaster.

If you really wanted a Syd Barrett sound get a Telecaster, although a Danelectro would be a great option if you were on a budget, as they are well built, sound good and are really, really cheap for what you get.

post them on craigslist for a little less on craigslist then when people ask about them negotiate a price sub in box like $100-120 ish amp$40-70 6x9's close to what you paid never used then there new even if there older model my prices are just off the top of my head so if you dont like them do your own thing I would just post them on criagslist if i were you post all of it for like $400.00
