Mxr Distortion
Mxr M-115 Distortion 3 + Ibanez Tube Screamer?
I have a M-115 Distortion 3 and i'm thinking about geting a ibanez tube screamer to add on to the sound... there's no ibanez tube screamer in the local music stores so i cant test them together. Would they sound good together? Also i have a boss NS-2 noise suppressor so it would take away additonal feedback that might come with two Distortion pedals.
At one point in time just before good multi effects processors came along I was a mad scientist of tone stringing effects pedals together to get a good tone and a decent amount of distortion. It was hard find the right formula or chain of pedals that quenched my thirst. But in the end it paid off. Believe it or not I had an IBANEZ SESSIONMAN II that didn't quite have the punch but had great tone so I bought an IBANEZ TUBE SCREAMER to put in front of it in the chain. After working with the knobs a little on both it kicked ass. A TUBE SCREAMER adds that little bit of marshall tube style chirp that normal analog or digital distortion pedals are missing. I say order it. You will have to back off on the distortion on both pedals to find that happy medium so it's not overkill and just causes feedback. I also suggest a noise redution pedal such as the ROCKTRON HUSH. It will help kill alot of the noise that you may get stringing distortion pedals together sometimes causes. Good luck

Dude use what ever pedal you wish BUT if you're playing and there are no vocals...well you lost me, so just make sure theres voclas and most people will be happy...well I'll be happy.. and i know i didn't answer your question!
