How much cost a dave mustaine rust in peace dean guitar?

Hall of Fame or Hall of Shame?

I get excited every year when they announce the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees mainly because I think this year just might be the year that KISS gets in. But alas I'm kind of like a teenage boy in the back seat of a car; I get all excited but get no relief. Anyway this year is a great year simply because Metallica is getting in and not only are they going to be enshrined for all to see, but they are putting Jason Newstead and Cliff Burton in as well.

Now the reason I call it the Hall of Shame is because we are missing a key ingredient in the Metallica mix. Megadeth's Dave Mustaine! Dave may have never recorded on a Metallica album, but he has many writing credits in songs that Metallica still plays live today. Not only that, but when they decided to leave Dave's drunk ass on the side of the road they went out to look for a guitarist that can play like Dave. To me that's enough to say that Mustaine effected/helped Metallica receive these honors.

This isn't the first time this has happened either. Black Sabbath was inducted in 2006 with Ozzy. That's awesome and they paved the way for everyone, but what about Dio? Their version of Sabbath sold as many albums as the original. Dio is a true legend and to not have him there on that day is a travesty. They are letting the bands decide who gets in and that doesn't make any sense to me. We know the issues and grudge those bands hold, why let them deny someone something this big when they might be fighting over a roadie.

I just don't know where it stops or starts, if Kiss does get in who should be with them. Eric Carr, Bruce Kulick, Vinnie Vincent, Tommy Thayer, Eric Singer? All these guys helped pave the way for KISS and against popular demand I think Paul and Gene will include them. You know, if it ever happens.

After this rant I guess I'm going to go with Hall of Shame simply because its an unfair system based on the bands wants and commercial success. Mustaine and Dio may never see the Hall simply because they stuck to their niche and decided to treat their fans with the respect we deserve.
