Which Guitar should I buy? Epiphone les paul studio deluxe or Epiphone dot semi-hollow electric guitar?
I'm planning on buying a first guitar soon and I've found two that I really like. I've been playing guitar for a few years but I've never owned an electric guitar. I have an old classical and that's it. I've played other guitars and can say that I have reasonable experience on an electric. So which should I go for? If you have other recommendations, please recommend them. Thanks!
Keep in mind, this is my first guitar, so i don't need a Gibson, and which one would compliment a Roland Cube 15w amp better? I play mostly rock, punk, alternative, but i'm into jazz and blues as well.
Keep in mind, this is my first elec. guitar, so i don't need a Gibson, and i'm only 14 so i can't exactly come up with enough money any time soon for one.

The Les Paul copy can do anything that the hollow-body can do but the hollow-body can't do everything that the Les Paul can do. There is an inherent echo with hollow-body guitars that prevent them being really "hard". It probably depends on what kind of music you plan on playing, but you can't go wrong with the Les Paul.
Having said this, I have to tell you that Alvin Lee played a hollow-body at Woodstock (do a search on "Goin' Home" Woodstock to see what it sounded like).
Good luck.
