Which String Does Coheed and Cambria's In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth Song Start On?
Some tabs show it being on the 9th and 11th fret of the Sixth and Fifth string.
Others show it on the 4th and 6th fret of the Fifth and Fourth strings.
I cant find a clear answer to this. I tried to watch a video of Claudio playing it and it appeared he was starting on the Sixth string but wasn't sure.
The link below is a really good one. Sprinklerthief didn't make very many mistakes in his tabbing of the earlier CnC albums, or at least I should say I've only found a three note sequence in the song "Time Consumer" that I'm pretty sure isn't correct. Probably. I dunno. =) Everything else seems on the money, though, so I trust it over most anything else.
As far as definitive, I'd say it's definitely the fifth and sixth strings. While the same notes, there is a timbre difference between those strings and the next ones up that seems very distinctive to me... its a pretty bassy sound, which to me says "bottom strings, higher frets".
