What pickups should I put in my strat?
I have an old strat that I'm putting new pickups in. I'm gonna go with 2 single coils and 1 humbucker. I want the singles to be fender adn the humbucker to be gibson. The only trouble I am having is there are many many different years and models to choose from. Does anybody have any opinions on good classic rock/bues pickups? Either Fender, Fender Custom Shop, Gibson or Gibson Custom Shop. I need something with a good lead solo sound.
My favorite single coil pickups are Fender 57/62's
and Lindy Fralin Blues Specials.
