I bought a new guitar pedal, and it won't work?
So, I bought a new guitar pedal. BEHRINGER BO100 (Blues Overdrive). It's the first stompbox I bought ever (my other one was a Multi-Effects). I dont know how to work these things. It says it has a 9 V battery and can be plugged in with a power supply. I tried using it but it wont work. Any help?

Guitar Effects Help For Nice Heavy Metal Crunch?
Hi, I play a jackson randy rhoads rr3 through a roland 30x cube amp with a boss metal zone distortion pedal. The tone i've got is pretty nice but i think theres something missing for that extra crunch, can you suggest any other guitar effect stompbox whatever that could give me that extra heavy metal sound. I want my guitar to sound like dimebags in walk by pantera if at all possible. Thanks in advanced.
A better amp man
The cube's are decent
but a true players distortion should be mostly from his amp
I suggest the modular amps from randall
You can get ones that hold anywere from 1-4 modules
You should have a Vox or Fender Clean, Marshall Plexi, Bogner Ecstacy, and Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, all in one
The best part is that they sound GOOD unlike most modeling stuff
I have compared a Randall with the dual rectifier and a dual rectifer, EQ'd the same, and I could barely tell a difference
I also have to point out to Warrior, the Tube Screamer is an Overdrive pedal, not a distortion pedal
OD is meant to be used with tube amps, doesn't play nice with SS stuff
And I have to disagree with edalbkrad on the MG100
Solid stat marshalls F U C K I N G suck
And if you want heavy Metal, Marshall is out anyway, unless you buy like the Kerry King signature head, and thats like 1900 bucks
