Semi Hollowbody

Considering a hollowbody for non-traditional purposes...?
I am interested in feedback, and the harmonics produced by the interaction between the guitar and the amplifier. I like the idea of being able to get feedback and sustain without using as much artificial gain. I also like the fullness of the tone. But my primary interest is the harmonics.
Ideally, I would like to try a Languedoc, since that guitar was deliberately designed to react with the amplifier, according to its luthier. But I don't have 10 grand lying around.
That being said, what guitars would you all recommend?
I tried a few Gretchs and Epiphones, and I liked the full hollow gretch a lot. The epiphones were all semi-hollows (i tried a casino and a few others) and they didn't quite do it for me, but then again I wasn't playing at nearly the volume I would be if I weren't in a crowded guitar store so it's hard to tell.
Hi Socrates, I don't know squat about guitars so I can't help you here. Just wanted to say I saw your gun chart & thought it was extremely interesting. Really drives home the point of what guns represent and why they are a danger to authoritarian regimes. I've always believed we have more to fear from our government & the police owning all the guns than the random nut with a gun. Keep up the good work.
