Line 6 Spider III 30 watt bad feedback w/ Schecter Damien FR Electric Guitar?
K. This started when I got my Shector, about a week or 2 ago. My amp setings are Insane, Chan Vol: all the way to the right, Treble:All the way to the right, Mid: All the way to the left, Bass: all the way to the left, Drive: all the way to the right. Right meaning highest, left, lowest. My guitar knobs are Volume: all the way up(Duhh), Rythym switch: down all the way, and tone knob: put so you get the cleanest tone. But, whenever I put my hand on the strings, like to palm mute, or stop them, I get a really bad feedback. Now, Can SOMEONE help me??? And dont tell me to get a less clean tone, b/c I cant squeal w/out a clean one!
You're feeding back because you have your treble pegged and everything else cut out. That would be a setting if you're looking to purposely feed back. Set everything neutral (12 o'clock) and start moving in small amounts. I wouldn't take the highs much past 1-2 o'clock. Boost the mids to the 2-3 o'clock, leave the bass pretty neutral. The tone you're getting must be so thin. And turn it down, you'll blow the amp if you keep cranking it like that.
