Pedal Excellent

Pedal Excellent
Guitarists! I need to obtain some excellent and versatile distortion!?

Okay, friends. Here's the deal. I've been playing guitar for seven years and, like most guitarists, I AM TONE HUNGRY!!! I'm searching for a pedal and / or rackmount that's got some real pounding distortion. Something that will shake the ground like a massive infantry march and has a punch to match. Something very much like Richard Kruspe's distortion from Rammstein. I can't find out what he uses in his rig and I would badly like to know some kind of secret to the whole thing of getting such an Uber-Distortion. Anything to know about any company that has great industrial metal distortion and anything else to pair up with that, for further tone shaping control, would be very helpfull! I know alot of people have different opinions about what's good and what's bad but, please, any opinion on the subject matter would be incredibly appreciated! ...Currently, I'm working with EMG 81 pickups thru a Boss GT-8.

Thank you!
your fellow tone maniac,
Rick

First of all you need a large tube amp. I use a Marshall JCM 900 100w Head. A Mesa, Crate, any other will work. Your processor is fine the way it is. Next you will need 2 speaker cab's, 1 with 4-12" and 1-15" bass cab. You need a crossover to cut the high end to the bass cab and the deep lows to the 12" cab. An active post power amp crossover is what you need. When setting up the tone in you processor find the distortion that you like that is just about there but not quite and then add an octovater to a 12 tone drop and not only will you have that crunch that you are looking for, you will feel it in your gut. You don't have to have the crossover but it added protection to your 4-12" from the low end, but the key to the rig is the 15" bass cab. You could also get a bass combo and utilize the stereo outs on your GT-8 and run separate lines to each combo, that works just as well.

Also here is their equipment list:

They use Sansamp PSA-1 to process their tone.

Highly Efficient Pontiac Brake Pads for Excellent Short Distance Stopping and Vehicle Control

Putting your car to a stop requires more than just stepping on the brake pedal. It is a collective function of car components known as the braking system. Hydraulic pressure is used in order to activate the brake assemblies that slow down or stop your car. Because of the hydraulic pressure, friction is created--resulting in vehicle control and short distance stopping. But to get that stopping energy, you need to ensure that all of your braking system components are in good working condition. You can do this by employing some basic maintenance procedures like keeping them free from damage-causing elements. Another is by knowing the basic functions and fundamental principles of your braking system. When you are well versed with the system, you will know what part needs to be diagnosed. The Pontiac brake pad is among the various parts of your braking system that needs to be checked once in a while. This braking system component plays an indispensable role in your braking assist.

Basically, your Pontiac brake pad takes the brunt of the frictional force that is needed in slowing or stopping your car. It serves the primary function of activating the hydraulic line. Originally, this braking system component is made out of organic ingredients, wherein carbon and asbestos were used. A strong resin holds them together in order to come up with a brake pad. However, the use of asbestos was banned by the US government because asbestos was found to contain substances that can be harmful to the respiratory system of humans. Kevlar was then used as a replacement for asbestos, the same material that is utilized for making bullet proof vests. Modern brake pads are now considered semi-metallic—using brass, copper, and steel wool shavings as main ingredients held together in a resin. The only drawback is that they have a higher incidence of grinding noises. The metal shavings normally rub against the steel rotors each time you apply the brakes, so this is largely unavoidable.

Your Pontiac vehicle is typically equipped with 2 brake pads per disc rotor. They are held in place and are actuated by a caliper that is affixed to the suspension or wheel hub. Depending upon the intended use of your car, you can choose from the different types of brake pads—from very soft and aggressive, to the harder, and more durable ones. They may be of different types, every Pontiac brake pad is made up of two main parts: the actual friction material and the steel backing. Kinetic energy is being converted into heat energy by the friction material present in your brake pad. Because of friction, the heat that has been transferred to the disc and pad are distributed to the surrounding air. On the other hand, the steel backing serve the function of serving as a support to the friction material. As it wears out, your Pontiac brake pad will alert you with a grinding noise. This happens because it has built-in special shims. When you have been hearing those noises, do not delay in replacing it with a new one if you want to maintain your efficient braking assist.
