Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top or Custom?
Hey! Right now I play a gibson SG replica (which is my dad's) and I really want a new guitar for christmas. Should I get the Epiphone Les Paul custom or the standard plus top and can someone please tell me the difference between those two.

The Les Paul Standard has a flame maple veneer top and the Custom doesn't. Also the Custom has gold hardware (the tuners, bridge, tailpiece, and pickup covers) where as the Standard has chrome. Epiphone Les Paul Prophesys are good also. The GX has Gibson Dirty Fingers Pickups, and the EX has EMG 81/ 85 pickups ( mostly used for metal).
