have problem when car is cold that between 1000 + 2000 revs the engine is sluggish - like there is an incorrect mixture, after its warmed its gone, have changed plugs, leads and coil pak - no difference,
also if i just tap the pedal and dont take the revs up it nearly cuts out as if too much/too little petrol/air

also not sure if you are meant to hear like a gust of air (hiss) near inlet manifold/injectors when you tap the accelerator pedal, i did suspect an air leak but have checked as best i can and tryed sprayin carb cleaner around it, but am not sure if its not just air/ fuel in the plastic manifold.

any sugeestions would be grateful thanks

I have came across this problem before. there is a rubber breather pipe that runs from the engine to the back of the inlet manifold. This pipe gets perished and breaks. Check it for leaks. This makes the car run badly as you described.

I currently have a Fender amplifier from a pak. Which amp should I get next. Also, should I buy a RP250 pedal?

The Fender amp is great, but I was wondering what another good amp was. As for the RP250 pedal, I like my RP80, but I wanted to know what else was good.

You want an amp that has a speaker 12" or larger, and I assume something for practicing at home primarily, but also loud enough for small gigs. I own and adore Line 6 Spider II or III amps - I have a 30W one, but 75W is even better, it can handle even larger gigs. They also have digital effects and 4 different channels so you can go easy on buying extra effects. You will have to buy the footswitch separately, though.
As for the pedal, I hate Digitech and their plastic toys that also sound exactly like plastic toys. Get a Boss multi-effect, maybe a GT-6 or GT-8 if you have $450, although, like I said, you won't really need much with a Spider.
