I just got a Fender Mini Twin-Amp?
I'm new to electric guitars and I just got a Gibson SG and a Fender Mini Twin-Amp.
I plugged in the chord to my guitar and to the amp, turned it on, volume all the way up. Instead of using batteries, I got a wall plug and hooked that up. My guitar is turned all the way up as well but it just isn't amplifying. This may be a silly question but I need help.
Actually, it wasn't.
It was only $199 and it is and Epiphone but that is what the man at the store told me.
And I do have an acoustic, I was just trying something different. I enjoy things so much better when I teach myself and I'm just trying to figure things out. I'm not a completely serious electric player, I have no plans to make a career out of it. This is more for a hobby. You didn't really answer my question.
Um... lemme get this straight: you went to the expense of buying a GIBSON SG, which for the "Faded Special" is never less than $699 and probably closer to $1000 for a regular Special.... and then you went an bought a ONE WATT SOLID STATE $59 amp??? I hope you got kissed, because you damn sure got fcuked! Now go take that piece of crap amp back to the store and get something decent. At GC there are at least ten different 10-15 watt amps you can get for less than a hundred dollars. Btw... if you bought an Epiphone, stop calling it a Gibson... and get a different amp anyway.
You see, people? This is EXACTLY why I tell you newbies to buy acoustics until you know wtf you're doing!
