Guitar Overdrive
Guitar Overdrive
what would I need to connect an overdrive pedal for my guitar?
does it go like this: guitar>pedal>input of amp. I do not know what i am doing for this so what might be obvious to you isn't for me and will i need another jack lead.
Yes that is right. you need another jack lead. Some amps have a "Send" and "Return" jack input and this works in a similar way. You connect the send to the input of the pedal and the return to the output and just plug your guitar into the amp. (3 jack leads)
it is always much simpler to put the pedal in line "guitar, pedal, amp" but if you have send/return jacks and were going to use a reverb unit or graphic equalizer or something you can use the send/return option as well.
