Would a silver guitar pick hurt a guitar?
Okay so for my boyfriend and my anniversary i was thinking about getting him a silver guitar pick with our names engraved in it or something. I want him to be able to use it but i don't want to destroy the pick or the guitar. So, does anyone know if it will do any damage at all? Thanks!
No, it wouldn't hurt the guitar any more than any other pick. However, professional musicians sometimes use the silver pick for the unique tone it gives, totally unlike a plastic pick. Much deeper and very nice. I am told that Brian May of Queen uses a silver pick for this reason. Your boyfriend should try it. Good luck.
