Emg Pickups
Emg Pickups

EMG 81 active pickups supposedly don't work with Squier Fat Strat stock electronics.Help?
If I remove the other pickups and electronics, so I have one EMG 81' in my bridge (its all i need) i'll have dead spots in my 5-way selector (i dont care) and ill have two empty slots for pickups or disconnecteed pickups (idc).
Forget EMG...put Seymour Duncan pickups.. They fit perfectly and the sound rocks. I install these all the time of Gibsons and Fenders and what not.
EMG are not clean, whereas Seymour Duncan have high output and when played through a distortion pedal, the sustain is aesomely clean.
If you insist on EMG, just buy one pot for that pickup and it shouldn't affect the other pickups nor the selector switch.
If it does, the wiring is wrong.
