Effects Processor

Effects Processor
What polarity does the adaptor for the Digitech RP-200 effects processor have?

I'm buying an RP-200 and the seller doesn't have the adaptor. What is the required polarity of the adaptor, and what is the barrel size?
If possible could you give me the url to an adaptor at either walmart.com, bestbuy.com or radioshack.com or tell me the name, company, etc

The RP-200 uses a 9VAC 1300mA power supply. Since it is a AC supply, the polarity makes no difference.

Here is a link to the manual:

The Digitech power supply is a PS0913B.

Here are some links to that power supply:

how does an guitar effects processor work?

i think a processor 'compiles' all the users effects(pedals etc) into a single box.is this done electronically or putting the pedals themselves into the box?how does a processor do this? wouldn't it be cheaper to just get a processor with all the effects already in it?that's if the effects are compiled electronically. peace.

A processor that "compiles" all effects in one unit is a "guitar multi effects processor" giving you for examples: your gain/distortions(overdrive,tube drive, right up to face melting metal ect) your "time" based effects such as reverb, flanger, phaser, chorus, echo, harmonist (and soo much more) ect.all in one unit. These come in a variety of models and styles, such as floor units, which are one piece with effects assigned to foot pedals(basically like having a bunch of pedals in one unit)..with switching done by a tap of the foot...there are also rack mounted multi effects processors, which are installed into a case and changed by a "pedal board"(usually sold seperate)
Some excellent floor units to check out are BOSS...DIGITECH...D.O.D...check out the web sites to see all the goodies packed into these beasts!! Some rack mounted ones (rack mounted are usually a little more expensive) ART...ALESIS...EVENTIDE....ELECTRHARMONIX...
I own a few multi effects processors and countless "stomp boxes"...I can highly rate the BOSS ME-6...it has all the inputs and outputs you'll need(yes it has stereo capability) a nice headphone input fort hose late night sessions without waking up the neighbors...the effects can be used like a series of stomp boxes or as pedal board...input for volume pedal/expression pedal(wha-wha...volume..whammy wha)..plus it sounds excellent..many have amp and cabinet simulators..want to play through a 68 Marshall Plexi Head into a Marshall 4x12...just select it and "POOF" there you go...seriously theres a ton of stuff out there, but check out the companies I gave you,and that will be a great start for you to get more info. Some of the "better" models offer tubes in the pre-amp section (for that highly craved smooth tube tone) and use solid state transistors for power stage(more reliable and way less likely to break)Check out the web sites of the companies I listed and that will be a great start to get more in depth info.Hope this helped...you seem like you got the hang of how they work...now go get one!!!
