If they made a movie about Pantera guitarist, Dimebag Darrell, who would you want to see portray him?
Not that he has to be any good at guitar. I'm sure for something like this they would overdub the guitar sounds for the actor. But what are some choices for actors who you could see playing the late Dimebag Darrell?
I might say Evan Jones (8 Mile). Not only does he look like Dimebag, but he can be funny and keep it serious too. That might be a good choice in my opinion...
I must say, when i read your suggestion about Evan Jones I had to think for a minute just to remember who he was. So I looked him up and to be honest I think you answered your own question. He resembles Dime more than Vinnie does!!!! But to be fair I paused the "One" Video and yeah I see the point there too.
But still, (and yes, I'm a huge 'Tallica fan) That was James over 20 years ago. And as cool as it would be I don't expect him to take the time necessary to do a film. I say we get Evan Jones to play Dime and get Het to coach him on being a rock god.
I can't see Jack Black playing dime, Maybe Vinnie. I honestly like him for what he does, but I don't think JB would be a good fit if you wanted the film to be taken seriously.
