Boss problem - where to draw the line?
My boss has severely cut my pay so that he can save up to take a vacation in Europe. I am barely making ends meet as it is, and try to save as much as I can. But now he expects me to pet sit for him for the 2 weeks he's away. Since when did being an employee in an office mean you also have to tend to the boss' house and pets while he
s on vacation? I mean i have enough of my own stuff to deal with - but he is annoyed that I don't want to pet sit. Am I being unreasonable?
Your "boss" is a cheap S.O.B., selfish, trying to get over, and no, you're not being unreasonable.
What he doesn't get is-Fate has a strange way of dealing Her cards. He cut your pay for selfish reasons? Don't worry. He'll have something cut from him and he won't be smart enough to connect the dots. I've seen it happen. Sit back and watch.
He's annoyed you don't want to pet sit? Guess he never heard of pet boarding services. Ask him since when did you turn into a pet sitter (free at that) in your job description? Document this asap; send a copy to HR, meanwhile send out your resume and if he acts hostile in any way towards you - again, document, send a copy to HR.
I hope this doesn't happen to you, but if you're fired on this fact, or on an unfounded charge as a result of not pet sitting, grab a labor lawyer and give him your documentation. Include your salary amount and date before AND after your pay cut, and if you can prove he did that so he could vacation in Europe-you may have a case.

Hugo Boss is a global fashion house which has a chain of stores in 102 countries across the world. It was founded by Hugo Ferdinand Boss in 1923 in Metzingen, Germany. Hugo was the member of the Nazi party. With the rise of Hitler in 1933, Hugo Boss became the official supplier of uniforms to SA and SS guards.
Hugo Boss experienced highs and lows in his business. He was charged for being a Nazi supporter and was denied to vote in Germany. Even after his death in 1948, his business survived which started to make suits and became a famous fashion house for male fashion industry.
Hugo Boss launched its first perfume in 1993, exactly 70 years after it was founded. Ever since Hugo Boss perfume line has grown to be a successful part of the company and is rated as one of the top most perfume brands in the industry.

The latest edition of Hugo Boss perfumes is the Femme L'Eau Fraiche launched in 2009. It has a gentle, refreshing and very cheerful fragrance. It is perfect for tranquil and peaceful evenings.
