Bass Pickguard
Bass Pickguard
Need a new bass guitar pick-guard?
I have an Ibanez Roadstar II bass, and when I got it off a friend, the pickguard was totally destroyed. I repaired it as best I could, but I think it's time to get a new one. So...what do I do? I've never really done much like this before - do I need a very specific type of guard, where can I get one, and how do I replace it? please just ask if you require further information, and thanks for your help.
Hey, you need to take your bass to anyone that specialises in guitars, basically take it to any store that sells instruments, they'll know what to do. Once they tell you what pickguard you can use, they will more than likely offer to fit it for you, if they don't its pretty simple to do, it will more than likely come with fitting instructions. Basically most pickguards just fit into place or else they can be screwed in. If there's no wee hole for the screw to go into DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF, take it to a music repair store, they have the skill to do it.
If all the above fails, you could try plucking instead of using a pick lol
Hope I helped!!
